Success!

Our event last night at Celebration Event Rental in Southlake, Texas last night was a huge success! There was a great turnout and we received marvelous accolades on the food. Our corn bar was a huge hit and we had'em lined up! Celebration did a beautiful job of displaying what they can do for your next event. From gorgous linens and table displays to a fun photo booth, they have it all. Combine them and us, at Great Endings and you have an absolutely incredible party!

Chef Leon's meatloaf today was absolutely devine and we completely sold out in no time at all so if you missed it remember to call early next time and place your order! It's delicious as is everything Chef Leon cooks!

Tomorrow......it's back! We have fried catfish as our hot special! Yes, fried catfish with coleslaw, tarter sauce, onion rings and hushpuppies for $6.95! Don't miss it as it is one of our most popular hots!

Party Time!

We are getting ready to head out for a party we are doing at Celebration Event Rental in Southlake, Texas. They are celebrating their grand opening with a ribbon cutting. Please check them out for your next event, wedding or party. They are awesome and have beautiful, beautiful equipment!

We're excited!

We are so excited about an event we are working on for next week. We will be catering an event on Wednesday, September 23rd for the grand opening and ribbon cutting of a new event rental business in Southlake....Celebration Event Rental. Wednesday will be the kick off for this new business and boy, are we impressed! We have been working with them for a couple of months now on several upcoming events and weddings we are planning and they are awesome! They offer beautiful, beautiful equipment and rentals from sumptuous linens to gorgeous Jan Barboglio pieces. When we first visited with Kodi Keen at their showroom we wanted to just scoop up one of everything. We were also very impressed that they wanted to take us on a tour through their warehouse which is incredible. So organized and pristine, not to mention the wonderful things we got to ogle over. We are looking forward to the opportunity to showcase what we can do and be able to use Celebration's fabulous catering equipment to show it off. Stay tuned!

Chef Leon Rivera

Let us tell you a little bit about Chef Leon! Chef Leon Rivera comes to us from Piranha Killer Sushi in Fort Worth where he was the General Manager. His prior experience includes Executive Sous Chef with the Wyndham Hotel and Event Chef with Whole Foods Market. Chef Leon tells us that you "will experience gastronomical pleasures like you have never known". "Prepare yourself for a culinary ballet like your palate has never tasted!" To our delight we have already sampled some of Chef Leon's "gastronomical pleasures" and we are truly excited! We hope that you too will soon get to experience these pleasures with us!

Cloudy with a chance of..........

It's Chef Leon's second day and he is awesome. As a chef he not only displays the highest degree of professionalism but he brings a certain calmness to our sometimes chaotic kitchen. We are all thrilled to have him on board here at Great Endings and Great to Go! Did I mention that his food is amazing? He can work wonders with the simplest of ingredients. He will truly be a "great" asset here at Great Endings and Great to Go!

When I was deciding what to title the blog today this unusual weather we have came to mind. We have all certainly enjoyed and desperately needed the rain although it can make our commutes a little hectic. Today with the cloudy, dreary and overcast skies it reminded me my children's favorite book growing up..."Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs". Oh how they loved this book and oh how I hated it! But now that I look back I realize how much I really loved it too and miss those nights reading to them at bedtime. This book will very soon be released as a movie. I look forward to seeing it. A fun movie especially for those "foodies" out there and the kid in all of us. Of course we love anything pertaining to food here at Great Endings!

It's a rainy day!

It's a rainy dreary day here in north Texas but we are thankful for the rain as it is much needed and a respite from the hot summer.

We have a new chef on board here at Great Endings and Great to Go! We are thrilled to annouce that Chef Leon Rivera has joined us! Chef Leon comes with an extraordinary culinary background and experience! We are excited that he will be creating some new food and menus for us. "New" is always good and fun!

Chef Leon is is in the kitchen right now creating a delicious new soup for this rainy day......a Southwestern Chicken Soup with a grilled southwestern chicken, fresh squash, rice, diced tomatoes, onions and spices. Sounds delicious!

Also today in Great to Go we have Loaded Potato Skins....a new item!....with grilled chicken, bacon, cheddar cheese, green onions, and sour cream served with tossed salad and a choice of ranch or lemon vinaigrette dressing for $6.95.

Try our delicious homemade Buttermilk Pie today! You are going to love it!

We are also excited about starting this new blog and blogging about all the new and upcoming happenings at Great Endings and Great to Go. We will be blogging about everyday thngs as well as new foods and menus, events we are planning and working on and wedding planning tips and ideas. Check us out!
